You've seen them - a runner now and then jogging around our little country town of Valley Center. Don't they look very solitary in this rural community? We don't have to be all by ourselves. There are a lot of runners in this here little town. Let's get together and share training, stories, advice and hopefully a little fun as we enjoy running around Valley Center and surrounding North County cities!

- Where: Lake Hodges , Escondido
- When: January 10th, 2009 @ 8:00 AM (Note the new time)
- Who: The run is open to anyone, all ages, all levels, from any city (come on out Escondido and San Marcos!), of any physical conditioning
- Challenge Level:

- There is no cost for attending or running
- Free Gatorade (or water) and Clif Bars will be available after the run (maybe)
- The run will happen even with light rain or shine (cancelled for hurricanes or snow). Check back on this website for up-to-date information and notices.
- There is NO official sponsor of this gathering. It is simply an informal meeting among running friends
- You participate AT YOUR OWN RISK
- You're welcome to run farther (or shorter) if you want to
NOTE It is important that you're able to safely run. Consult your doctor if you have any doubts
Challenge Level Scale
The "Challenge Level " scale is ONLY an estimate and is an opinion - your results will vary. Do NOT let this scare you off. The runs are at your own pace and there are typically alternative routes to run that make a tougher run easier. The scale is:
- : Mostly flat, no major hills, can be street or trail (example location - Valley Center Library)
- : Some moderate hills and trails (example location - Lake Hodges)
- : Many hills of varying and difficult grades (example location - Daley Ranch)

The First Meeting Is In The Books!
September 23, 2006 We had a great turn out for the first meeting! We ran about 2.7 miles and a few folks went on to complete even more mileage before shutting down. A good time was reportedly had by all, or at least they kept it to themselves if they didn't. :o)
